air stones and placement in tank advice please

Where do you have your air stones placed?

Do you put them near inlet or outlet hose's?

I have just bought an air pump and an air disc and want to choose the best location '1st time' so I'm not fiddling about too much in the tank and upsetting my fish....

I'm assuming it would be best to be near the inlet from filter???

Suggestion's please

Anywhere you like it doesn't need to be near the outlet. So anywhere where it looks good and where your fish can swim through the bubbles. A lot of people put them at the back because it's easier to hide the tubing then.
