How much should I sell this tank for?

Well.
I got the job I interviewed for (220 miles away) and have decided to sell my beloved 300 litre tank. My lovely loaches are going to a friend, and I've advertised the fish for free on local free groups.
Am after advice really regarding the tank. It's 4 feet long and fairly massive. It's on a black wooden cabinet with a cupboard and space for books. Only thing is, it's not a flash modern tank, it's defo fairly old. The lid has a couple of small cracks and some bits of plastic have been cut inside the tank to make way for moderations. It's absolutely watertight though and I would sell it with all bits and bobs.

Can anyone advise as to what I should advertise it for? I'm hoping for £100...desperately need to raise money for moving costs!

Thanks!

£100 should be fine to be honest - I paid £250 for my 4 foot tank a couple of years ago, and it's a modern design. Why not try putting the price up a little so you can reduce it and still get the price you want?

Big congrats on the new job!

It depends, there are a lot of people selling second hand tanks at the moment. I sold a 4ft (only 190l though) with a solid wood cabinet, heaters, eheim 2013 and other gubbins and I only got £60 :( With a tank that size it depends where you live I think, unless you offer delivery too.

How are you planning to sell it- ebay or local ads? Can you see what else is selling nearby and how much for?
