Does anyone know what the ph should be for Guppies?

We set up out tank about a week ago and are planning on having a few guppies.

DH just tested the PH and it was 7.7. Is that too high for Guppies or will it be ok?

Thanks.

Hi, just read that guppies are ok in between ph 7.0 and 8.5.

Yes, 7.7 sounds fine for guppies. Don't forget you need to do a fishless cycle before you add any fish. www.fishkeeping.co.uk/articles_51/fishless-cycling-article.htm

Thanks.

We'll do that fishless cycle.
