I know.... I KNOW they don;t know what they're talking about, but it's so close and I really wanted a few albino corys to go with my lonely pair.
Bought three on saturday, and all three have died during the week. Have been watching really carefully in case they might have passed on some horrible disease to my others, but luckily all seems well so far.
Am really annoyed - they were obviously sickly when I bought them, as I know my tank is otherwise flourishing. Can I ask for a refund? And what warning signs should I look for in my remaining fish?
Thanks!

Depends on their livestock policy, some shops will give you a refund if the fish dies within the week if you take in a water sample. There are a few reasons why they might have died, it might not be a disease but I would keep an eye out anyway. Sudden changes in pH or nitrAte level can kill fish but corys are pretty hardy Confused Did they have any symptoms before they died? Any marks on the body?

Make sure your old fish are feeding, pooping and swimming normally and don't have any lumps, bumps or red patches. If you notice anything different at all then try to see exactly what is wrong with the fish and ask a fish expert (ie not Pets at Home) to diagnose it and recommend some treatment.

If you get any new fish in the future then you should quarantine them for a few weeks before adding them to your main tank, just in case they are harbouring something nasty.

Please never buy fish from PAH, they're dreadful and won't have been cared for properly prior to buying.

Try to locate a specialist aquatic centre and go there instead.
