Dechlorinating water

Hi, i always use aqua safe but was just wondering can you leave the water to stand for 24 hours instead, or are you best off sticking with aqua safe.

Most water companies now use chloramine rather than just plain chlorine because it doesn't evaporate in 24 hrs like chlorine does. This means it's harder to get rid of so you do need to use aqua safe or similar. Give the water a good stir as you pour in the aqua safe because surface turbulence will help get rid of the chloramine too.
