siamese fighting fish problem...

hello, hopefully someone can help me with this...

we got a siamese fighting fish (betta fish) the other day from our GOOD fish shop.
the guy said he ought to be fine with the panda corys and barbs.. basically as long as we didn't have anything that would nip him he would be alright.

however, I had noticed the corys didn't seem that happy, and tonight I see that one of them, and one of the barbs have got big chunks of tail missing :(

we did have a guppy in there too, but him and the SFF were fighting so we took him back out... but it had seemed that the others were ok together

am not sure what to do now, will I have to get rid of the SFF? or can I calm them down somehow? was I wrongly advised on compatability?

Oh buggery, the guy in your fish shop is dead wrong Angry barbs and SFF? Noooo! And guppies too? Recipe for disaster. I would either rehome him or use the excuse to set up another tank Grin A 10 gallon would be a lovely home for a SFF, I'm sure you could squeeze one in somewhere Wink
