Biorb tank -help please

We are fish novices, and have just bought a gorgeous Biorb tank for the lounge. We have set it up according to instructions but there are no bubbles coming from the air tube thing...anyone any ideas?

Is the air pump bit making a noise? I would ignore the instructions tbh, there's a lot of errors in there, they do not tell you to do a fishless cycle and also say that goldfish are suitable for biorbs which they are NOT.

If I may be totally honest, I would return the biorb and swap it for something else, they are a bit of a nightmare to keep fish healthy in so if you are a novice you might have better luck with a more traditional rectangular tank.

Yes, when you disconnect the tube from the pump there is air leaving the pump but not making it through the tube to the tank...we can't blow through the tube either...

Can you see any blockage in the tube? Does it have a non-return valve?

It did. We cut if off in case that was the problem but still no joy
