Went to see Ponyo today.

It was the £1 saturday movie.

I loved it, the kids loved it. Found it odd in places but I found spirited away odd too sometimes.

It really was a great film and really refreshing after so much of the usual crappy kids films.

We went for lunch after and DS2(3) kept saying he just wanted 'ham'

We saw it a few weeks ago. I loved it. So much better than recent disney offerings

ha! ah is the song re-playing in your head all the time.

I've seen kikis, it was a while ago though.

We are now calling DD (16 months) Ponyo too, lol.

Ponyo, ponyo ponyo tiny little fish ...

yes south, haha.

All the Studio Ghibli films are superb, especially the ones directed by Miyazaki. (Though Pom Poko is difficult and Grave of the Fireflies is for the over-10's probably.)

We loved Ponyo.

Watched it this weekend with my 7 and 5 year old boys, and boy did it make a welcome change! No robots, aliens or lasers - just a magical story with a great song at the end.
