daisydora · 24/12/2009 12:31

Okay, I watched it, I am now excited

beyondfurious · 24/12/2009 12:32

very excited too - been watching the photos all year on the websites, seen lots of 80's clothes in the back story.

Cant wait for the whole thing

IDontLikeDisciples · 24/12/2009 12:32

Ah I'm excited.

I'm just praying they never make a Sopranos movie - that would be awful.

BunnyLebowski · 24/12/2009 12:33

Christ it looks woeful. Milking the franchise for every last dollar while not giving a f*ck about plot or character continuity/development.

Knowing that there is a generation of sad deluded stuck on the shelf women who want so desperately to believe they are like Carrie/Samantha and will pay money to reinforce this delusion.

All I could think when I saw the trailer was Who gives a shit anymore.

hohoholepew · 24/12/2009 12:33

I heard Aiden was back in it [faints]

daisydora · 24/12/2009 12:36

Aidan

beatiebow · 24/12/2009 12:37

ooh-i hope he is!!

imnotaceleb · 24/12/2009 12:38

Yes I think Aiden is in again. I did the SATC tour in NYC last month and the host was talking about that.

Bunny - you'll be first inline on opening night them LOL

IDontLikeDisciples · 24/12/2009 12:41

I do agree it should have been left at the fabulous final scene

but I do want more - I love the show

and actually no It's not aspirational - I have a fab career I wear loubitons and do lunch.

IDontLikeDisciples · 24/12/2009 12:42

I actually cried

satc2bringiton · 24/12/2009 16:04

Have namechanged now

sincitylover · 26/12/2009 16:34

oops bunny we seem to disagree on most things (posted on your other thread).

I'm very excited too. Have always loved SATC to me its a bit of well written witty observational comedy with some poignant moments. Its not only vacuous women who like fashion and talking about men fgs!

And alot of the satire/TV that passes off as Guardian readers fodder in the UK is actually dominated by men or boymen a la Hislop, Merton, mock the week etc. Whilst I watch it and sometimes find it funny - SATC is much more my cup of tea.

Would be interested in knowing what sort of light entertaiment you like, just out of interest?

sincitylover · 26/12/2009 16:36

Also ground breaking due to its candid talk by women about sex. Name one other programme that does that!

roslily · 08/01/2010 20:12

Very excited, never knew they were doing another one

flyingcloud · 24/01/2010 17:45

What a shit trailer.

"To Carrie On" Oh dear God...

The series was good, but as Bunny says, this milks it beyond belief.

It's 2010 version of The Golden Girls, with the sole aim to make money and showcase clothes/products.

satc2bringiton · 10/04/2010 11:28

New trailor here

pinkmook · 10/04/2010 12:04

Ive watched both trailers and am sooo excited now I feel kind of guilty (blatant commercialism, unrealistic image of 40/50 yr old women etc, etc) but I cant help it, I LOVE iT!

cyb · 10/04/2010 12:06

I saw the trailer yesterday and while they all look much older, esp CARRIE, the clothes look fabulously OTT

Samantha doesnt seem to get any older at all...she was supposed to be about 50 in the last one...now Carrie looks older than her

cocolepew · 10/04/2010 12:08

Aiden is def in it [shrieks] and I heard rumours of a Soprano movie [shrieks again] I have an unfailing lust for Tony Soprano.

Ooooh - I am so excited. I love SATC. Can't wait!

satc2bringiton · 31/05/2010 11:23

So who's seen the film now?

I went last night and I really enjoyed it. Was a bit slow in places but was just like a really long episode.

shimmerysilverglitter · 05/06/2010 23:23

I liked it, know it has had rubbish reviews but I honestly don't know why I thought it was good, frothy fun.

Hope that bad reviews don't put them off making another one.

icancancan · 12/06/2010 17:15

I thought this one was better than the first film. shimmery hit the nail on the head - totally lightweight but a feel good film and loved the music (opening credits - who sings/performs that?) and 'I am woman'. outfits and shoes are totally 'wow' but boy have those girls aged! .....
