Or is it going to go all Roald Dahlish and freak her out?

I was wondering if it would be OK for DS, who's 5. I really want to see it!

Took my Dd aged 3 with her sisters (and also to Up). No problems at all - at that age I think anything sinister goes over her head and there is nothing outright horrible or scary. Think that it helps it is a cartoon rather than real actors.

I took my DD (age 3) with her big sister (8). They both liked it although my 3 year old spent the first 40 mins with her cardigan on her head.........but then she always does that in the cinema till she gets used to it!
But in answer to your question, no, it's not sinister and Roald Dahlish I didn't think.

Ooh thanks, think we'll go tomorrow. I love George Clooney and foxes - dd loves popcorn - what can go wrong?

I watched it last week and found it quite a 'complicated' film to follow the story.

The images were occasionally scary and all in all might be a bit too much for a 4 yr old.

We took DS who is four and he enjoyed it. He has had the book read to him so he already knew the plot of the middle section, which probably helped.

Thanks everyone. It was a bit over her head, but she didn't care once she had her nose in some popcorn!

just bumping this thread as took ds aged 6 and ds aged 3 tonight to see it

i actually loved it but i thought a lot of it went over their heads

aimed at a more adult audience i thought - but quite arty and great music!

BonjourIvresse · 26/11/2009 21:47

I loved it and so did my 5 year old daughter.
