Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs - any good for 4-year-old?

I have never taken my (just turned0 4-year-old to the cinema and this has come on here, has anyone seen it and would it be ok for a child this young? She likes Nemo, Madagascar etc on DVD - although not convinced she would sit through an entire film at the cinema and wouldn't be scared of how loud it is. Still if you don't try....

possibly a bit too complicated for a 4 year old.

Our 2yo was enthralled by it, sat quietly the whole film and watched it to the end.

My 3 year old thought it was fantastic!

Mhmm

Not seen the film, but the cinema experience can be quite overwhelming for little kids. It's dark, big and noisy.

I'd recommend doing one of those saturday morning screenings (they are full of kids and have more of a lively kiddy atmosphere) - and perhaps starting with something familiar.

Speaking from experience! Our first cinema trip was Dd refusing to look at the screen (or to leave) the whole time. We haven't been back and she;s 6 now!

Thanks all - mixed views, hmmmm.

Kif - unfortunately we live on a very small island with only one cinema so we have to take what we can get. They don't do saturday morning shows but they do matinees, which is what I was going to take her to. If she hates it, we'll leave.
