Any 'feel-good' films out on DVD you'd recommend?

Can you suggest any films which are aimed at adults but have no tear-jerker moments, would be suitable for someone who liked Mamma Mia and is available in the shops now?

Thanks!

No-one? Or no 'happy', non-upsetting films out there?

I saw Vicky Cristina Barcelona with mum at the senior screen the other day and really enjoyed it. They're usually out on dvd once they reach the senior.

Have you seen Amelie? Not recent but very good (subtitled) and popular. A total feel good movie.

Thanks! I was just reading another thread on Amelie wondering about that - not seen it, but it might be the sort of thing I'm after, as long as there's no 'bambi's mother dies' type moments in there IYSWIM!

no bambi's mother doesn't die but it does have the odd sad moment but mostly amusing and sweet.

That sounds like it'll do the job then! Thanks!
