Oooh, I hope someone says yes because I want to take my 4yo DD. The Little White HOrse was my absolute favourite book when I was little - can't wait to see the film!

What age for the book, namechange?

I took my 4 yr old DD. She's usually hard as nails, but she found some bits quite scary. That said, she was enthralled! (And it doesn't seem to have caused her any lasting fearfulness!)

this is our our favourite book ever! I read it to my now 8yo last year, she was 7 then. The book is fantastic, really magical, but does have lots of long words might be tricky for a 5 yo to follow, but the story would be fine for a 5yo i should think, might not get it all but it looks like it is beautifully filmed, i can't wait to se it, we are reading it again before film comes out.

oh its out already i didn't know

Not worried about scary bits - have yet to see DD1 scared by anything, altho she does get very affected by sad scenes these days (inconsolable when Troy and Gabriella split up in High School Musical Too!) - just wondered if it was easy enough to follow - sounds like it is. Thanks. I think it'll all be about the frocks for her anyway

Went with DD1 in the end and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Scarier than I expected in parts actually, but she definitely coped!

I took my five year daughter and she loved it
So did I - very magical
Great we could both enjoy the film for a change!
The Little White horse was my favourite book as a child - think this is great adaptation
