...please tell me it isn't as much of a travesty of that wonderful, wonderful book as it appears to be from the cinema trailer?

It looks like it's got the characters from the book but been given an entirely different plot and I'm not sure I can bear to watch it...

Since when did Maria Merryweather have actual magical powers (as opposed to being a nosy, stubborn pain in the arse)? And what's all this shite about breaking a curse or Moonacre falls into the sea??

I really HATE it when they piss about with books that were very important to me as a child!

That was my favourite book as a child; I only found out there was going to be a film yesterday .

I've just looked it up and Wikipedia has a plot synopsis [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Secret_of_Moonacre here] I agree why do they do it???? Definitely won't be watching this, I'd spend the entire film hissing that's not how it happens. Grrrrr
