No. No no no no no no no.

How did Christopher wotsit ever agree to that????

We turned off halfway through.

Did the makers READ the book, or just have a quick glance at a cover and read the blurb?!?!? Saphira didn't even have any spikes ffs, let alone the feathers, and don't get me started on everyone knowing when the dragon hatched, or the non-whiteness of the Shade....

I haven't read or seen Eragon, but can I nominate "The Dark Is Rising" for the worst film adaptation of a book ever, please? I think I ranted about it all the way home in the car, when we went to see it - the 5 Dark is Rising books are amongst my all-time favourites, and I still reread them now.

VampiresWalkin · 22/01/2009 11:54

Yup, really enjoyed Brisingr

If I ever read dark is rising, I will not watch the film then!

It makes me so to think that he can have cared about the money so much to allow his work to be slaughtered like that

Never read the books but love fantasy. Are they any good? Film was just awful.

I didn't even know there was a film adaptation of The Dark Is Rising Almost want to watch it now for car crash value alone.
