I saw it on telly about ooh, 15 years ago. I think it was Italian...or at least it was set in Italy. It was about a cartoonist or illustrator. Very funny and surreal. he wore glasses. Pretty sure it was B&W. erm, I'm afraid that's all I can remember. Not much to go on is it. Would love it if anyone knows anything. I've tried googling but not getting anywhere.

The Icicle Thief?

not the one where he gets "infected" by his characters and starts changing into one eg growing big mickey mouse style hands that he has to hide........would love to know the name of that one....very surreal...i loved it....

Yes, Pollywobble - that is exactly it! Is it called the icicle thief? I'm off to google....

Hmm, no, it's not called that....although that does look like a good film judging by the synopsis I just read!

agree, not that one.....think it would have been early 90's but can't remember anything other than that he was shy and had to cope with his cartoon hands dong outrageous things...sorry....will pick dh's brains later

It was googling "italian film cartoon hands" that turned it up so thanks for your help Pollywobble

It is by the same director as the Icicle Thieves!
