Original one is absolutely terrifying, the ghost coming out of the tv will make you wet your pants

lou33 · 26/03/2005 10:22

yes, japanese version when she comes out of the tv is scary indeed.

snafu · 26/03/2005 10:26

Ooooh, agree. Still gives me the jitters late at night and it's three years since I saw it!

flamesparrow · 26/03/2005 10:29

Lol - they behaved. They did apologise lots cos they had already seen it and knew how freaked out we must have been!!!

Blossomhill · 27/03/2005 11:04

God no, I hate scary films!!!!

BubblesDeVere · 27/03/2005 11:05

I've seen the remake, will have to look out for the original. I scared DH witless whilst watching it, i hid my mobile down the back of the sofa and called him at the end on his mobile which was in his pocket.

I won't tell you what he called me .

Have you seen 'The Cabin', it scared the crap out of me and so did 'The Dreamcatcher'.

TinyGang · 27/03/2005 12:00

Is this the one that's on next Weds night? (Japanese film about a video that kills people)

Dh always pushes off to bed when we start watching scary films, leaving me petrified downstairs and too scared to turn all the lights off and go to bed myself.

Socci, the cabin is about a group of guys who have know each other since school and they go to this cabin the middle of the woods every year, and dreamcatchers is, well, a group of quys who have known each other years go on holiday, but, the story lines are completely different. Both really good

BubblesDeVere · 27/03/2005 19:06

What channel is it on?

BubblesDeVere · 27/03/2005 19:08

I got the name of the film wrong, duh! its called 'The Cabin'.

I thought Dreamcatcher was awful

TinyGang · 27/03/2005 19:14

The Ring is on Channel4 on Wed 12.10am (don't know if I have the nerve to stay up and watch that on my own after what has been said here!)

A film called Cabin Fever (could that be the same one?) is on Sky Movies if you have it, also on Wed. Wish we had Sky cos I notice the Joy Luck Club is on there next week and I'd love to see that, although not a horror.

flamesparrow · 27/03/2005 19:15

Cabin Fever was great if you are going for a comedy cheesy gorey horror kinda thing... didn't find it all that scary though. very Evil Dead...

lavenderrr · 27/03/2005 19:16

yes , dh got it out on video last year, was very scarey
