Timothy could no more be a cad than vote Tory. His are the only modern Bonds I'll let ds watch. No canoodling please, or Vanessa will chop off my nadgers it demeans my comrade actors of the female gender

I was just about to raise the SPECTRE of the late, lovely David. He would have been delectable
100x, I'll join you in the consulting rooms. I had inappropriate thoughts about Stellan Skarsgard in that film

SalLikesCoffee · 26/10/2008 22:40

DC. I was ready to hate him, but was pleasantly surprised.

Who rode the tank through Moscow? That was good. Was it Pierce?

[worries]

EffiePerine · 26/10/2008 22:41

well sometimes a cad is what you want

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 22:41

Did you Marina? Oh god can we discuss this?

Simon Callow chewing a biro FOR GODS SAKE. Not to mention Pierce in his white trousers singing passionately. I am actually properly worried about this.

And now maybe he rode the tank through Moscow, and actually I've had this all along but it only surfaced during Mama Mia.

Marina · 26/10/2008 22:45

Mamma Mia is the sort of hallucinogenic experience that could do this to you though
There were times when I could not believe that this film had actually been made and I was watching it in a room full of people loving every terrifying moment

Marina · 26/10/2008 22:46

Simon Callow chewing a biro is a dirty sort of image on so many levels

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 22:48

The whole thing is dreadful.

I have asked dh, he says it was Pierce who drove the tank through a wall in Moscow.

I am doomed, clearly.

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 22:53

This could be the thread, the time and the place where I realize once and for all that I fancy Pierce Brosnan? Surely not. His name is Pierce. This can't be right.

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 22:57

OMG. And you've all left me standing alone in a room with Pierce, and me looking at him and shaking my head and taking menopausal drugs and wondering if really, really, this can be true.

He's looking a bit nervous btw.

Monkeyblue · 26/10/2008 22:59

LOL

I am watching for a far

Shaken not stirred

Now if it was Danny boy I would be there

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 26/10/2008 23:04

Brosnan is the Bond of my times, he can do handbrake turns in a tank .

Sean is over the hill, Timothy & George just didn't get it and as for dear old Roger in his corset... Daniel Craig is an annoying tosser acTOR.

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 23:06

[stares at Duchess]

ahundredtimes · 26/10/2008 23:06

You said that so easily

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 26/10/2008 23:07

'Impossible stunts' reminds me Germaine Greer reviewing Goldeneye (?) on Newsnight and saying it was silly & far-fetched. Er, well yes...!

Crocodilius · 26/10/2008 23:08

Brooke Bond

TheDuchessOfNorksDied · 26/10/2008 23:09

Here's a thought... the best thing about Goldeneye is Sean Bean with a clipped accent.

EffiePerine · 27/10/2008 10:13

I htough Piece was a welcome return to the caddish Bond, so I think you're safe despite the name.

MrsMattie · 27/10/2008 10:15

I like Craig. Didn't fancy him before Bond, but the whole 007 thing has done a lot for his sex appeal in my eyes. Never fancied the others. Can't see the appeal of Sean Connery. His voice is silly and he has got a cheesy manner. Pierce Brosnan looks like Barbie's Ken. The others were mingers.

VinegArghhhWasStabbedInTheTits · 27/10/2008 10:20

Sean Connery was the best by far, he was beautiful when he was young, those big brown eyes, i do like Craig though, best bond since Sean imo, I cant stand Brosnan, he has the charisma of a papaer cup

EachPeachPearMum · 27/10/2008 20:51

Brosnan, no contest. However DH thinks that is purely because the plots/writers/direction of the films he was in were the best, therefore put PB in a good light. He may be right- haven't seen Mamma Mia, but you lot are definitely putting me off.... Simon Callow?

shopaholicDIVA · 28/10/2008 22:32

dc lips puts me off too. i imagine he practiced that zillion time in front of mirror reminds me vbeckham
