A quick warning about Hancock the new Will Smith film in case anyone is as stupid as I am

I took my 10 year old to Narnia last week - it was advertised as a 12A but when I went on the film board classifications web site it said moderate violence and scary scenes.

She had seen the first one (not with me but with previous carers) and I took the decision it would be ok.

When I got there on the actual credits before the film it did not say it was a 12A - it said it was a PG. She was fine with it.

So fast forward to this afternoon and Hancock is advertised as a 12A with "moderate violence and crude and aggressive language". I watched the trailer online and heard maybe bitch (could have been witch)

I get to the film and the word "fuck" is in it, along with homo and multiple assholes, knife in back of head, heads inserted in butts.

I did not expect it and I expected it to be roughly the same level as Caspian. It is not the same level for language so just thought I'd warn anyone as daft as me.

It was definitely rated a 12A on the opening credits so if anyone is expecting it to be PG (like Caspian turned out to be) it's definitely not.

anything containing will smith is best avoided in my experience.
