Save your money! At the end of my screening people were laughing. Their is one or two genuine thrills but otherwise it was rubbish.

did you read the book? I did, shook my head and threw it across the room (no spoiler but you’ll know why). Saving myself the trip to the cinema.

No. I didn’t read the book at all.

I saw a review that said it was so bad it managed to make the Colleen Hoover book it was based on look good. Which is no mean feat.

Two hours of my life I'm not getting back!

I hadn’t read the book, but I don’t think I missed much. Dakota Johnson was awful wandering around like a morose teenager talking in flat monotones. I know she was meant to be repressed/contained - at least I think that’s what she was aiming for - but it didn’t really work.
The last 20 minutes were quite exciting if completely unbelievable and Anne Hathaways performance was much more amazing than the film justified.

I thought it was good! First half was really creepy. I could have watched Dakota all day

I was planning on going to see it this week for something to do. I didn’t think much of the book.

It was totally boring and a cross between 50 Shades and The Housemaid. Save your money. It killed a couple of hours that I needed to be out of the house for though!
