The Magic Faraway Tree

We’ve just been to see it and I wish they’d stuck more closely to the books. They spent very little time actually in the magic lands. Some terrible wigs. But the kids adored it and it passed the time very happily.

To those querying the draw of a big name star, one of the reasons my 18 year old was happy to watch this was due to Andrew Garfield being one of his favourite actors. He's a big Spiderman fan!

He did enjoy having the books read to him as a child though, so he may have agreed to watch with an unknown cast anyway.

I was so excited to watch it because it was from the same guys who created wonka, which is one of my favourite films. So I thought they would do wonderous things with it.
