Song Sung Blue and Roofman

I watched both this weekend and thoroughly recommend them.

I liked Roofman and would happily rewatch when it's streaming.

I really enjoyed it and amazing that it’s a true story. Imagine eating all those M&M’s.

Cant tell you how much I loved it, what an emotional rollercoaster

I know right, it’s so good.

I basically cried through most of SSB, and I didn't know what happened to the couple in real life so that was extremely emotional

Song Sung Blue is great. It wasn't what I was expecting at all - some very sharp turns in the plot. I thought it was going to be a Neil Diamond jukebox musical but it's all that and more.

Loved Song Sung Blue. Kate Hudson was absolutely fantastic.

Caught a glimpse of DP dabbing his eyes so it must've been a tear-jerker. Typically my eyes were streaming at the end.

Seeing it on Wed and looking forward to it.

The critics hates Song Sung Blue. I loved it and wonder what they watched! But I often find that with films 🤣

The other one I've enjoyed recently was Housmaid.

Watched Song sung blue yesterday with dp and loved it. The car though! I won't say much as to spoil it but bloody hell.
I cried so did dh. He's a weeper at films anyway. Whole row of us were sniffling.

I haven't heard of roofman I'll Google.

I didn't love Song Sung Blue. Thought it was good but just didn't get me - and no hint of tears at any point!

Kate Hudson was v good but I think Hugh Jackman just didn't work in that role for me, not least because he's got a pretty distinctive singing voice (IMO) and just sounded like himself...

Did love Roofman though :-)

I watched Song Sung Blue with my widowed mum. She and my dad big Neil Diamond fans. I hated my dad’s MOR taste in music but Neil Diamond is my guilty pleasure. My mum and I cried for about half of the film. We had a lovely bonding moment watching it and really enjoyed it. Not at all what I was expecting. Kate Hudson was brilliant.

Saw song sung blue last night, cried several times throughout. Not at all what I was expecting, much better.

I saw Song Sung Blue today and it was OK, but like a PP I thought Hugh Jackman wasn't quite right in that role. As a result I couldn't believe in the two main characters as a couple. But Kate Hudson was fabulous and I hope she gets an Oscar nomination next week.

I loved Song Sung Blue, it really surprised me actually. Both Hugh jackman and Kate Hudson are good in it, Kate Hudson especially, its a very sweet, charming film.

Sorry, but I hated Roofman. The guy is a dirtbag and not likeable enough to redeem himself from it. Look at all the bad choices the girlfriend made, if she was a Mumsnetter we'd have warned her off him straight away!

Saw Song Sung Blue earlier today & loved it. Thought it was brilliant & great acting! Hope KH wins the Oscar for it.
