I saw that last year. I was disappointed. I thought it could have been so much more. Too many minor story lines. It didn’t give the good feelz like I thought it would.

It feels like a bit of a con when you spend extra time and money to see something at the cinema and it’s no better than something random on the TV. I felt that way about Swallows and Amazons a few years ago.

Fortunately it’s part of a weekly Film Club programme so not too expensive. Yesterday’s offering was Bird with Barry Keoghan. A hard watch but enjoyable.

Here’s my watchlist. They’re all BAFTA nominated. Some of these are from 2025. I went to see Hamnet today - absolutely beautiful and a fantastic piece of cinema.

I've just seen the trailer for Sam Raimi's new film Send Help (Feb 6th, I think) and I'm praying it's as much fun as it looks 😀

Also saw the trailer for Wuthering Heights, and I think I'll just leave that sentence there 🤔

I'm another who saw the Wuthering Heights trailer (yesterday) and thought maybe I don't want to see it and maybe a few minutes with a Youtube short of Hareton(Matthew MacFadyan) and young Cathie will do just as well.
