“Lovely ice cream”…

Aussiegold · 26/12/2025 12:50

Was carried out of a cinema in1968, nothing will EVER frighten me as much as that bloody child catcher.

Still talked about and no desire to watch the film again......

Arlanymor · 26/12/2025 12:50

Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

TheNightingalesStarling · 26/12/2025 12:51

I never found him scary. Too much of a caricature I think.
I didn't like the Baron though!

25mini7 · 26/12/2025 12:52

The Storyteller - Hedgehog man

tripleginandtonic · 26/12/2025 12:52

The wicked witch in Wizard of Oz. Terrifying on a big cinema screen aged 4.

ChungkingAshes · 26/12/2025 13:19

Mombi and the wheelers in Return to Oz immediately come to mind.

Flippingheckwtf · 26/12/2025 15:05

That's what I thought Wheelers and all those heads in the glass cabinets! Nightmarefuel.

Splendidlydidy · 26/12/2025 15:09

My child was frightened of The Witches.

BarbaraVineFan · 26/12/2025 16:11

We watched PeeWees big adventure loads when we were small and the woman lorry driver scared the shit out of me.

LilyAnn13 · 26/12/2025 19:07

The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland always scared me too. Especially in movie version I watched once and can´t recall which one.

My eldest called him ‘the catch child’
he is terrifying!

Floogal · 26/12/2025 20:39

The Queen of hearts definitely.

On the Worzel Gummidge movie. The travelling scarecrow maker's zombie scarecrow sidekicks were terrifying

Floogal · 26/12/2025 20:41

The child eating giants on the BFG, especially when Sophie screams and they nearly get seen

Ugh, yes! I was taken to see this as a birthday treat, so I had several friends there so couldn't even admit being terrified. I just sat there frozen staring at the edge of the carpet in the aisle during the scariest bits 😳

The poor little cartoon shoe 😭
