Saw this tonight with my two teens. I loved it, they liked it (high praise) and didn’t even complain about the length. Only the Apple product placement.

Excellent acting, really great cinematography (particularly the final scenes) and soundtrack. Plus, a really, surprisingly positive political message especially given the fact it’s a blockbuster US release in the time of ICE enforcement. Great ridiculing of the white supremacist MAGA bros.

Also some very funny moments coupled with good cat-and-mouse chase scenes.

Saw it last night. Debated walking out in the first hour but stuck with it. Soundtrack horrendous, cinematography great, too long. It rather rams the messages home - subtle it isn’t! Didn’t enjoy it but we did talk about it again today.

Oh, that’s interesting. I ‘didn’t enjoy’ Bugonia last week (even though it was fabulously well produced) partly because it lacked subtlety. I’m beginning to realise that absurdism is the thing of the moment so I’d better get used to it.

But ‘One Battle’ I could have watched for weeks on end.

After its Oscar nominations I watched it (Amazon prine £4.99) and really enjoyed it. Can’t see why benito was nominated but can see why Sean penn was.

Good to read these reviews - I wasn't sure about it but will try and catch it on the big screen!

I saw it this lunchtime at the IMAX and loved it to the point where I almost booked to go and see it again tonight.

I think the score made the film, but Sean Penn especially was fantastic and it was a lot funnier than I was expecting. The car chase made me feel a bit sick Grin

Just seen it tonight. I agree about the car chase. I'm glad I went to the cinema for that part though.
I really enjoyed it. Amazing acting. Penn and Dicaprio were amazing. As were Taylor and Infiniti.
I would have liked the Christmas weirdos to be annihilated. At least the wicked hitmen got finished off.
I knew the receptionist was in on it when 'Bob' was apparently diabetic.

I'd definitely recommend it.
