Superman (2025) - what did you think?

Saw it yesterday. I did ask someone before buying it if it was worth it & they said definitely worth watching, seeing as it was only £4 more to buy than rent we bought it.

What a waste of £20! It was utter crap! So far removed from any of the Superman stories (yeah I know his background still same) we know. It just reeked of James Gunn’s self indulgent attempt to try & turn it into another GOTG - which is actually one of my favourite movies, but, imo, you can’t do that with Superman.

Bring back Henry Cavill & Zack Snyder.

Completely agree. Man of Steel was so much better- I loved that version of Superman. This new film makes him seem weak and wtf was all that about being sent to procreate and rule the world? 🤬

The Christopher Reeves film may be cheesy, but it's engaging, entertaining cheese that canters along at a good pace, and is true to the cartoon strip melodrama style.

@Aparecium - yes Christopher Reeve Superman films will always be remembered , he was the best one, the story lines were excellent. I also loved Man of Steel & Justice League & I’m more of a Marvel fan to be honest. Even that Superman Returns was better than this Superman 2025 tosh!
