I'm going to seet his tonight 5.15pm showing.

It was released in my local Vue cinemas at 10.00am with showings every 30 minutes.

I can't believe anyone hasn't reported back yet, or been to see it.

I could have gone this morning but couldnt get my lazy ass outta bed.

Yes, poor old Steve had lost his cheeky chappy appeal and just looked old!

I thought Charlotte could have done with a bit more storyline. Episode after episode we had her infertility, then in the film with no build up whatsoever she was suddenly pregnant. Nice but seemed a bit contrived so they all had a happy ending. Also thought that her crapping herself was a bit of a cheap laugh...

DrNortherner · 01/06/2008 20:36

I loved it! Hated that Big jilted Carrie though. What a knob.

Samantha is ace. I loved those blue/green manalo's.

I blubbed when iranda and Steve met on Brooklyn bridge. Lovley film.

dinny · 01/06/2008 20:37

thanks for the spolier!

dinny · 01/06/2008 20:38

SPOILER

Nbg · 01/06/2008 20:39

I went on Thursday and loved it.
I felt like I had been punched in the stomach when Carrie got Jilted.

Also when she was sat on the beach looking at her mobile, I got an overwhelming urge to bawl like a baby.
Was very odd.

DrNortherner · 01/06/2008 20:40

Shit sorry.

Nbg · 01/06/2008 20:40

ArghhhhhhH!

Sorry, didnt realise this was no Spoliers.

dinny · 01/06/2008 20:43

hey, my friend met SJP last week and said she was the loveliest woman sleb EVER

Nbg · 01/06/2008 20:47

I love SJP.

She always comes across as a lovely person in interviews.

Apologies again!

hannahsaunt · 06/06/2008 10:00

Spoiler alert as I have a question...

Was it just me or was there a huge continuity error when, after New Year and they all went to Fashion Week, Charlotte should have been heavily pregnant but wasn't and then suddenly was again a couple of scenes later?

Other than that, thought it was fab. I would love to have the time and energy to look like them all the time (actually one time would be good )

cameroonmama · 06/06/2008 10:09

Just went last night and it was fab. I am rushing out to buy a pair of Manolos as we speak...

Hannah I know what you mean, I think she was 'artfully' dressed all in black so difficult to distinguish yay or nay.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 06/06/2008 10:16

Went last night (tried to go on tuesday but didn't book and all showings were full as was last nights, fortunately we booked).

Loved it! And loved the blue manolos

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 06/06/2008 10:17

they all looked so old now though!

Don't know if it is the big screen, but I guess it is 10 years or so since it started.

sexandthecitylover · 07/06/2008 14:29

I saw it last night and loved it too.

I thought they had deliberately made them look harsh and old for parts of the film and then at the end they looked more vibrant and sparking - or was that the wine and cocktails we had before we went into the cinema.

The bit that bought a lump to my throat (and made my whole jaw adn throat area ache from restraining myself from blubbing) was the New Year's Eve scenario. Bit too close to home for me!!

Think I am going back to see it again at my local cinema next weekend (alone so I can blub to heart's content).

The characters all looked so very thin and gaunt and my friend pointed out that I probably had my home TV set to widescreen so when I watch it at home they look just slim.

TheBlonde · 07/06/2008 14:38

hannahsaunt - I agree that Charlotte should have been heavily pregnant but wasn't in one scene

It all seemed a bit heavy on the product placement - all the fashion labels were okayish but pret, starbucks etc

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 10/06/2008 22:06

Went to see it last night - fabulous film, was not disappointed. Agreed they looked aged, esp Steve, but also his "bounce" seemed to have been lost.

And how hot was Big?! Used to think he was slightly sexy but prefered Jared/Smith but in the movie he did nothing for me. Big however had aged but in a rather dashing way, those grey sideburns - PHWOAR

And the closet he made for Carrie (the entire cinema swooned outloud when she opened those doors!) - working on DH to make one for me, but it would involve demolishing DD's room...

myalias · 11/06/2008 08:58

Went last night - loved it.
Big - looks every bit the matinee idol.
Carrie's wardrobe - amazing.
Miranda looked good - great hair.
Dante - nice young man.
Would have liked to have seen more of Harry and Charlotte's storyline.
Also would have loved to see more of Carrie and Stamford together - used to love their bitchfests.
Samantha - didn't have enough of her one liners.

ALMazing · 17/06/2008 12:27

Went to see this last night and it was FABULOUS! But I wish there had been more of a build up to Steve and Miranda's story line. Not him suddenly announcing from nowhere that he had slept with someone else. Also think a lot more could have been done with Charlottes pregnancy.

Otherwise I absolutely loved it and laughed loads. Samantha was the best thing in it I think though the others not at all far behind.

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 17/06/2008 18:59

I loved it.
I was supposed to go see it the Thurs it opened, but ended up in hospital instead.
So I skived by myself to see it last week, was FABBBBBB. Could cry & laugh in peace!

branflake81 · 18/06/2008 14:59

I saw this last night.

It was ok, fairly enteratining but not very well constructed. Ie, suddenly Charlotte was pregnant, suddently she'd had the baby. No real build up to anything.

Though the jilted bit had me on the edge of my seat.

nkf · 20/06/2008 11:53

I saw it last night. Thought it was a film about frocks.
