The Red One - Christmas film - is now out at cinemas. Looks fun on the trailer so hoping to go next week. Has anyone seen this yet?

Just got back! It's so fun I loved it .

Phase2 · 10/11/2024 19:49

It's cleverer than I thought, and my teens and husband really enjoyed it.

HappiestSleeping · 10/11/2024 19:50

Is it better than 'Die Hard', which is the best Christmas film ever?

Phase2 · 10/11/2024 19:52

Hahaha we had that conversation in the car actually. It's more Die Hard than Elf let's put it that way Grin

Determined24 · 10/11/2024 19:56

Can I ask is there and Santa Spoilers? I want to take my Nephews but they are on the borderline of believing, thanks.

LostMySocks · 10/11/2024 19:57

How is it for children who (just) still believe?

mnahmnah · 10/11/2024 19:59

We saw it today and loved it!

Our 7 year old was fine with it - a couple of ‘shit’s and a ‘dickhead’ in there, but otherwise fine for him.

It has a scene at the start where a child tries to tell his cousins Santa isn’t real, but the uncle steps in and stops it. The rest of the film is fine in that sense.

I love it too

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 15/11/2024 08:35

I really want to see it but I can't stand Chris Evans.

mum2jakie · 24/11/2024 21:08

Finally got to see this tonight. The reviews were right- this was a pile of shite! It was verging on being so bad it was good though. Would have benefited from being a bit shorter but all in all a daft bit of fun.

I saw a clip of it on Graham Norton and thought it looked alright but I wouldn't rush to the cinema for it. If I can watch it without leaving my sofa I'll definitely give it a go.

Minesril · 14/12/2024 17:24

Loved this. They played it so straight it was hilarious. 🤣'let's have a cookie'

Summerbay23 · 14/12/2024 20:23

Sorry, we had to turn it off it was that bad. Just our opinion though.

Mushroo · 14/12/2024 20:25

I love it, but you have to accept that is a fun, cheesy movie. It’s nothing high brow and it doesn’t try to be.

it’s a mix of die hard, jingle all the way and elf.

It was a fun Friday night Xmas movie and I’d watch it again

I wouldn't watch it with young children. It has a lot of swearing and some of it is quite scary.

blobby10 · 17/12/2024 14:51

I watched it whilst off work ill last week and thought, like many of you, it was so bad it was good in a ditsy kind of way Grin Glad I didn't pay to see it at the cinema though!!

fourelementary · 30/12/2024 21:52

It was planned to be our Xmas Eve movie so I was pleased to save a fortune watching it at home on Prime!

Enjoyable film- entertaining and fun but a once a year watch for sure.

MouldyCandy · 30/12/2024 22:00

We watched it as a family tonight on Prime (DD10) and all enjoyed it for what it was. Personally I prefer Arthur Christmas.

Hoppinggreen · 30/12/2024 22:02

I quite enjoyed it, it was cheesy but it had The Rock in it so what can you expect?
I have to say that i thought the actor who played Krampus was brilliant, wasted in that movie
