Hi,

This is less of a personal ask and more helping a community cinema run by volunteers.
They run babes in arms film showings. We are having a discussion about what films to watch.

I just wanted to know what kinds of films you watch as a new parents - has it changed your taste, (ie something with less need to think) why do you watch films (is it even possible with a young baby!) Also, if anyone has been to a baby cinema if so, did you like it/did you have issues.

Hope you can help, I just want to provide a place for parents to come. I'm a massive film lover and didn't realise you could go to the cinema - I was also very isolated when my 2 year old was a baby and wish I known about that you could go to the cinema.

Anyway, sorry if its off topic - I just don't like doing things without the views of a community.

My local cinema has parent and baby screenings every week and all the films on the programme at the time are included; recent ones have been Joker 2 and The Substance 😀

The local authority has to give permission for the film to be shown, but if they do the cinema can screen anything they like and think that people will want to see. As I understand it the lights are kept dim rather than dark and the sound is less loud, but everything else is business as usual 👍
