preteens-teens. Stand By Me of course is a classic. Seen quite a few from that era already. Maybe something more modern day?

DD (9) & I watched Dungeons & Dragons last week & she loved that.
The Lord of Rings Trilogy.

I am not sure how 'pre' teen they are but what about - are you there god it's me Margaret. My 12yo enjoyed it.

“Angus , Thong …” is a 12a so may or may not desirable. (And is about teenagers and snogging?)

Not quite the same, but Celine Schiamma's film Petite Maman is well worth watching and I think age appropriate.
