look no further than 'The Last Kiss'.

Just when you think it can't get any dumber, it ends!

It's one good point is that it's only about an hour and a half long.

Ok, on a scale of BAD to TRULY AWFUL, are we talking Never Ending Story part 2 here or are we talking Spiceworld: the movie here???

southeastastra · 27/03/2008 20:27

lol at op

bridget jones 2 was a waste of an hour and a half

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 20:44

Expat, do you mean this? If so, it's the american remake of an Italian movie which is on my personal list of utterly bad movies. Speaking of which, the other day I saw one of the most horrible ones. It-'s Italian though, it's a shame I can't share with you

i bought 1408 on dvd the other day and was pleasantly surprised by the 'director's cut' ending. it's crazy that the film industry go with 'by committee' endings.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 27/03/2008 20:49

try 'Pigs'
yawn

avenanap · 27/03/2008 20:53

I remember (just about) watching one with Gwynyth Paltro in it, she was singing, it was so good I fell asleep. It was so bad I have no idea what it was called.

I went to the cinema to watch Kids several years ago. I was gobsmacked. Words can not say. 12 year olds (one HIV+) sleeping around.

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 20:56

pruni, trust me, it is that bad.

mrsruffallo · 27/03/2008 20:57

I thought Moulin Rouge was awful

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 20:57

sleepless in seattle is on my list.
And I'll say it once again: lost in translation (evil)

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 20:58

yes mrsruffalo!

FAWKEOFF · 27/03/2008 20:59

harold and kumar get the munchies

mrsruffallo · 27/03/2008 20:59

Thought I'd be the only one there france

southeastastra · 27/03/2008 21:10

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 21:11

wise words sea. I miss my dvd rental though

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 21:12

I mean the mail dvd rental thingy

southeastastra · 27/03/2008 21:16

i haven't joined any yet, should do.

looking forward to shanghai, only because john cusack and gong li are both in it. my two fav actors ever.

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 21:19

I haven't been to the movies for AGES. I was expecting our move back to Italy would have meant lots of relatives volunteering hrs of babysitting where we could go to the cinema, but I was a bit deluded . Plus movies are dubbed here

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 21:20

do it sea, it's worth the money.

southeastastra · 27/03/2008 21:22

i know i have a huge list.

it's finding time to watch them. gone are the days when i could sit and watch films from lunch til midnight.

my dad is retired and alone but he spends his time watching new and old films.

seems perfect

francagoestohollywood · 27/03/2008 21:30

Yes, sounds great

Do it then! If you start you'll be forced to make time (I must confess sometimes it took me two nights to watch a dvd . I blamed MN )

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 21:33

Yes, Franca, that's the one!

So.so.bad.

South, do you mind sharing how the director's cut of 1408 ends?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 27/03/2008 21:46

it ended with mike dying and ending up as a ghost, it was on youtube. much better ending than the cinema release.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 22:17

i agree! ending too predictable to be Stephen King.

off to YouTube! i love YouTube!

The worst ever film i've seen is Freddy gets fingered we switched it off half way through. Glad I never saw it at the cinema.
