I have just come back with my dd from the cinema. It was amazing! The audience were singing along. It was a great atmosphere. My dd is going to see her in concert next year!

I might take dd to see it over half term. Glad you enjoyed. ❤️ Taylor.

cocksstrideintheevening · 14/10/2023 00:10

I'm
Going tomorrow with dds and may be more excited than them, well no not really. They have had outfits planned since we booked. We had a massive fail at getting actual tickets so hope they enjoy!

QuiltedHippo · 14/10/2023 00:11

I bet its amazing, I'm going next year so don't want to spoil it!

LittleMousewithcloggson · 14/10/2023 01:08

We’ve just come home from it too
Was fantastic
DDs loved it and are thrilled with their posters, souvenir mugs and bucket
(my bank balance not so much!)

@LittleMousewithcloggson unfortunately we weren’t able to purchase the souvenir mug and bucket as my cinema wasn’t doing it. Dd was very disappointed. Luckily my dh purchased the souvenir mug from eBay! If you don’t mind me asking, how much were they? She got the poster though.

How much were the cups? Do I need to remortgage😂

Dontjudgeme101 · 14/10/2023 09:06

My dh purchased one for £19.99 from eBay. I am not sure how much they cost in the cinema@cocksstrideintheevening

I'm taking my 12 year old tomorrow, but we have no outfits prepared or bracelets or anything. Hope we don't feel out of place Confused

pizzaHeart · 14/10/2023 09:22

i would love to go but it’s so long. It’s scared me a bit.

Lollypoppet · 14/10/2023 09:38

It was absolutely brilliant!! Loved it.
I didn't realise what an amazing artist she was and it was like a long theatre production. She puts on an amazing show.

Lollypoppet · 14/10/2023 09:39

Ps. No cups or merchandise at the cinema we went to! We did all get a free poster afterwards.

Comingoutofmycage51 · 14/10/2023 09:43

My daughter went last night and got souvenirs and a poster. She said the atmosphere was amazing and made new friends 😀

@Dontjudgeme101 we were at the odeon and the cup and bucket together were £19.89 (of course!) but were filled with popcorn and drink - you couldn’t buy them unfilled.
The pink topped cups (different to the black topped ones that came in the combo)were £13 each (I think) also filled
Vue cinemas have the pink buckets - which are bigger - and the bigger pink cups. They can be bought without being filled and I think I read online they are around £8 for the bucket and £5 for the cup. We don’t have a Vue near us though so we were happy with the Odeons combo
It wasn’t an expensive evening for what it was but nearly £100 is more than I would usually spend on the cinema (5 x £19.89)

Dontjudgeme101 · 14/10/2023 10:37

@LittleMousewithcloggson Lucky you. Both cinemas near me only providing posters. I think small proto posters for free. It’s not fair that we couldn’t purchase any official merchandise.

You won't it was a complete mix. Alot of people in normal clothes as well as some sequins, lots of pink and some bracelets!

cocksstrideintheevening · 14/10/2023 11:14

One of my daughters has made a garden gate costume, with sequins 😂

ChessieFL · 16/10/2023 08:28

I took DD to see this yesterday morning and we ended up with a private showing - we were the only ones in a 150 seat screen! DD loved it as she could just sing and dance as much as she liked without annoying anyone. I did enjoy it but it was a bit too long, but then I’m not particularly a fan.

HermioneWeasley · 16/10/2023 08:36

It’s an amazing show- really theatrical and singing and dancing for 3.5 hours is impressive (film is “only” 3 hours because it’s cut down a bit). Taylor is phenomenal, and it’s a joy to watch a young woman embracing her power.

felisha54 · 16/10/2023 09:53

We were lucky enough to get tickets for next year. Does anybody who has seen it in the cinema think it will ruin the experience next year if we see it first?

JaninaDuszejko · 16/10/2023 10:03

No, I think it'll just get you excited about seeing it live next year.

My DDs dressed up in Folklore and Evermore outfits but you'd only know if you knew. DD1 has been TWICE, one with her friends (dressed in red) on Friday and once with me and DD2 on Saturday. It was a really good show, and was more atmospheric at the cinema than watching the Reputations tour on Netflix at home.

JaninaDuszejko · 16/10/2023 10:04

I have now bought myself a 'A lot going on at the moment' tshirt off etsy.

beguilingeyes · 16/10/2023 10:09

I'm going Thursday..I can't wait.
