Lots of free film screenings in London - quite a few open air freebies too

Free Film Festivals (FFF) is an umbrella group of local free annual film festivals in London and there are quite a few films coming up in September. In almost all cases no ticket is required (and they'd be free tickets anyway!) and entry is first-come, first-served. Donations are always welcomed from those who are able to contribute.

• Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival runs from 1st to 10th September with a pub quiz (also free) on 30 August.
• New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival has a one-off bike powered screening of 'Home' on 9th September
• Charlton and Woolwich Free Film Festival runs from 8th to 16th September
• Streatham Free Film Festival runs from 16th to 30th September with a fundraising pub quiz (£2.50 per person) on 10th September.

Separately I also keep an eye on all known open air cinema screenings in London and this tab will take you to the free ones. Between the start of the 2023 open air cinema 'season' back in April and the end in September / October there will have been over 1,000 film screenings in London! I update the spreadsheet every few days.

I'm one of the co-organisers for the Charlton and Woolwich 'FFF' and will be screening Gregory's Girl at the St Richard's Church Centre on Sundorne Road, just around the corner from Charlton station. Come along :) Very high chance that there will be football-themed bunting. Quite possibly tea and biscuits too. Free entry.

Jo 'projector whirr' Brodie :)
