I've seen it. I kept going and didn't switch off as I do with most of the dross on Netflix, and I remember it was an interesting concept. As you say, quite good!

Willmafrockfit · 30/05/2023 07:20

yes, also didnt switch off!

I enjoyed it, really interesting ending.

Tontostitis · 30/05/2023 07:27

I was quite enthralled, it was a bit of an effort at first as its sort of slow but well worth sticking with. I've thought about it loads since and found certain parts incredibly sad and emotional.

BanditsOnTheHorizon · 30/05/2023 07:35

I watched it last night and enjoyed it. The only bit I thought was slightly ridiculous, was when the blonde woman was crawling in the cave breaking her bones. Pretty unnecessary and they could have done this is a far less daft way

SquirrelFan · 30/05/2023 07:42

@BanditsOnTheHorizon yes, that bit was unrealistic and unnecessary! (and horrible)

Willmafrockfit · 30/05/2023 07:47

and what was the film with jack nicholson and the marlon brando ? i was thinking apocolypse now but dh said no

It kept me interested but it wasn’t great. The broken bones bit in the cave was a bit far fetched!

Willmafrockfit · 30/05/2023 08:00

Google tells me
Missouri Breaks is the film

We watched this at the cinema and it was so awful and slow, I think I aged 10 years by the end of it Grin

LifeIsPainHighness · 04/06/2023 00:49

Is this the film where they go to the beach and age rapidly?

If so I loved it - but we did piss ourselves laughing at broken bone woman. How did they not realise how comical it looked?!

Myknewname · 04/06/2023 01:25

My DD regularly cracks her neck, we watched this and I said ooh look if you were on this beach you would have your head in your hands. That bit of the film was very funny. Very sad about the baby, I didn't quite understand why it died so rapidly. Quite sad when you could see the differing ailments progress so fast.

I guess it starved to death? It hadn't been fed in the few minutes it was alive which equated to a few days in the sped up time on the beach? Very sad.

I quite enjoyed the film, it was better on a second watch I found as didn't know what to expect the first time so think I missed bits.

It died because it didn't have any human interaction because they put it down for a minute if I recall.

The film was better than I'd expected it to be, and I liked the twist as to why they were there

illiterato · 04/06/2023 04:53

Didn’t the blond woman have early onset osteoporosis, hence why her bones broke so easily when she got old? She mentioned in the hotel that she had a severe calcium deficiency. I assumed that was her illness, although then I thought maybe it was her husband as he seemed to have early onset dementia. Anyway, I thought it was a good film overall.

burnoutbabe · 06/06/2023 23:34

It was interesting concept. I wasn't sure how the kids returning knew about THE EVIL CORPORATION/ cocktails etc. that part seemed unclear.

talknomore · 06/06/2023 23:37

They didn't seem to need to drink anything if I remember!
Also the growing old children acquired emotional maturity very fast!
