Odeon Unlimited - very few film options??

I’ve had Odeon Unlimited for a while now and usually manage to see about 2 films a month. Just went to see what I could go to see this week and there is hardly anything on at my local Odeon cinema. For example even Friday and Saturday are only listing 3 or 4 movies and one of those is a child’s one. Is this the same all over? What’s going on?

My Odeon updates their listings on a Tuesday for the rest of the week, so they don’t have everting yet showing for Friday or Saturday.

There's not a huge amount on at the cinema in general. Been like that since covid. We also have Odeon limitless but sometimes only use it once a month.

Our local cinema is one of those premium ones so it's worth having the membership anyway. A single ticket is £18, which I think is absolutely outrageous.

We have a few films available during this week. Friday, Saturday and Sunday is only showing Little Mermaid and some Spiderman cartoon though. Maybe they'll add more later in the week Confused I'd expect fast and furious and that Ben Affleck one to still be showing on the weekend.

That sounds like the same films as ours BillyNoM8s. I didn’t realise about the Tuesday updates though so I’ll check again tomorrow. Thanks

It's half term so it's kids' movies a fair bit. But while I'd like to see a movie locally, again, nothing at my local Odeon tempts me, half term or not. I wouldn't go in the first week of a release to fork out £18 but while I'd have seen that Shazam sequel a few weeks along at a cheaper rate, it just disappeared. Same with that film Plane with Gerard Butler, nothing gets a second bounce these days.

It's actually like they don't really want you go to the cinema any more.

Ours does £5 Mondays so I just go then.

We restarted our memberships for our local Odeon Luxe just over a year ago after cancelling during the pandemic, I counted up that we’ve seen 23 films in 13 months. Pre-Covid we’d go pretty much weekly and there was always something we wanted to see, or even see again, but there does seem to be less choice now. The film industry will take time to get back up to speed I suppose.

Something I find frustrating with Odeon is the lack of variety. We’ll see a trailer every time we go for a while but when the film is actually released it’s not shown at the local one, or it’ll have one showing daily on weekday afternoons. They’ll also use most of the screens when something, for instance, from the Marvel franchise is released and barely show anything else for a week even though you can look online and see that they’re not close to filling all seats even at peak times.
