Has anyone else watched it? My H wouldn't watch it because it is "historical" but I really enjoyed it and got peace to do so 😉

Yes I watched it and thought it was very good - but for some reason I had got the idea it was based on a specific true story - it turns out it wasn't, it is based on a novel by Emma Donoghue, and that's somehow undermined it for me.

I read that it was based on a true story in Wales. I did google a bit and found out that this was quite common in Victorian times - young religious girls fasting like this.

I was a bit unsure about the ending, but it was good and well worth a watch.

I thought it was a bit bizarre, I didn't quite follow all of it. I wasn't paying attention 100% though which may have something to do with it! The acting was good

It was ok. Wouldn't watch it again though
