Anyone seen it? I thought it was A bit similar to the first one and very slow to get going but did improve toward the end. Why had Danny and the girls mum gone off to Australia without her?

I didn’t enjoy it as much overall as the first one, I’d never heard of Imelda May and thought she was totally characterless. The Cornish scenery was spectacular, and I love James Purefoy but I hope they don’t try to squeeze another sequel out of the theme.

Danny and Alywn were supposedly on their honeymoon (mentioned very briefly, my husband also missed it).

It wasn't as funny as the first one, and the plot seemed a bit all over the place. It was very obviously contriving problems to solve, rather than the problems occurring 'naturally'.

It was held together by the singing, though - I will forgive a lot for a well-sung sea shanty!

Overall, I'd give it 6/10.

I doubt they would be able to squeeze a third film from it, TBH.

I hadn't seen the first one and there were a few things unexplained. For much of the film I thought he was a particularly negligent Dad.
It passed the time, but not much more than that.
