Deep Water with Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas

Anyone seen this on Netflix? I am baffled by this film. Totally baffled. I only watched it because it is based on a book by Patricia Highsmith whom I love, but it made no sense at all! Though Ana looks gorgeous. It was meant to be dark and sexy, but I was laughing through most of it.

we put it on and i abandoned it for a nap about halfway through - was rotten! and my expectations were not high considering the reviews it got...

I saw this - I really like Ana after Knives Out and her scene stealing turn in No Time to Die. But it was absolute drivel. I think it could have had so much potential. Was it directed by Adrian Lynn who made Fatal Attraction and Unfaithful?

What I didn't get is why Vic just didn't divorce Melinda; she was awful? I am sure he could have got 50-50 custody of Trixie or even sole custody given Melinda's behaviour was public knowledge? Also, why the snails?

I love love love this film.

He doesn’t leave because he loves her and as he’s achieved work/money/ child goals he’s happy to stay. She doesn’t leave because it works for her, adoration from husband, new relationships to keep her buzzy.
The only but that winds me up is the body in the shallow water. I mean really he couldn’t have gone deeper? Or just floated it down the river a bit further. Rubbish.
