Reading about her new one and it sounds amazing (Everything Everywhere All at Once). I think 12-year-old dd would love some aspects of it, but perhaps it’s not appropriate if there’s a fight scene involving butt plugs.

Any recommendations for other movies she’s in? Ideally with minimal S&M gags. I’m not actually super-protective about swearing and stuff but dd tends to put me on the spot and want me to semi-explain racy jokes Blush

(Being a bit facetious there btw. I realise her films are not typically littered with s&m references. But would still appreciate recs)

The classic is Crunching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The sequel is on Netflix.
I loved her in Discovery Star Trek and she was brilliant.

Yes, crouching tiger hidden dragon.

and also we saw her in Shang chi and the legend of the ten rings - she’s great in that too. I was not expecting the film to be any good at all - v cookie cutter title etc - but actually it was a lot of fun. Watched it with 11 and 13 year olds so should be fine for yours.

Second Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. And Star Trek: Discovery, she was great in that.

Crazy Rich Asians is well worth a watch.

She was great in Tomorrow Never Dies (Bond film from the late 90s) but it's not an especially brilliant film overall.

Zhang Ziyi is another lead in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Her films are also brilliant: Hero, Flying Daggers

She was in the Mummy movie, Tomb of the Dragon. But don't inflict that on your daughter...unless she's been very naughty!

She's also Mameha in Memoirs of a Geisha, no? I'm pretty sure it's on Netflix currently.
