OK... so its (hopefully) far fetched - but really? Doing a car chase through central London at 70 miles an hour? Nah! that ain't happening Grin what films have you watched that when you get to point & you say that's lost me (light hearted)

Not very far anyway... can you do 0-70 in 100 feet?

They always do that with London in films! Dashing about from one area to another - when in reality it would take hours

It’s a very, very silly film. I lost it around the point that a bogus paramedic produced an RPG from the back of an ambulance.

LittleBearPad · 24/10/2021 23:03

London films are always absurd. The protagonists bounce from north to south, east to west in order to travel what in reality is a mile or less. But in the meantime they get pictures of all the famous sights.

Nothing beats Robin of sherwood or whatever it was called, with Robin getting from Dover to Nottingham on horseback in less than a day.

thenightsky · 24/10/2021 23:05

Actually, I think it was Dover to Hadrian's wall in less than a day.

Sparklfairy · 24/10/2021 23:06

Completely unbelieveable and that's kind of the point of the film, but Johnny English 2 when he is on the run from the police and secret service... in an electric wheelchair Grin and manages to outrun them steaming down the Mall in London and duck under a lorry.

In more 'serious' action movies, I lose interest as soon as they manage to park right outside the building they need to go to. Doesn't happen in London, sorry, you've lost all credibility now!

The last Fast film played fast and loose with how you can get round Edinburgh in a car too.

Anything at all Oxbridge based. It is always full of balls, posh parties and privilege. The Cambridge I remember was all about stressing about work and drinking cups of tea in each other’s rooms.

I also landed up watching some (god awful 1950's) medieval film about knights in armour etc & they showed a castle & above it you could see jet trails...
& how do people travel long distances in planes & come out look bright & fresh & not like a zombie invasion?
