That nice new movie with Ryan Whatshisface?

Sidge · 23/08/2021 07:20

Free Guy is fun. Lighthearted and daft and entertaining. Funny in places and Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer are in it.

MsAmerica · 25/08/2021 02:18

Do you check the movie-rating sites?

marmitegirl01 · 26/08/2021 22:15

Free Guy. It’s really good fun.

BadlydoneHelen · 26/08/2021 22:30

Free Guy is so much more fun than I thought it was going to be- was dragged along by my children

don't see Pig. Went last night. Nicholas Cage was good but it was utter shite. Trying to do a Nomadland-esk art film (which I loved). Lots of long silences. Moody scenes with low lighting and mist. Etc but I didn't not give a toss whether he got his pig back or not

It may not have helped that the lights were too bright, sound off and the most uncomfortable seats know to man but that was 92 minutes of my life I will never get back. We both agreed that if we had put it on at home we would have turned it off within 15 minutes.

Has anyone seen Candyman?

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/08/2021 18:07

Probably decoded by now lol but I liked Nighthouse. Ending was a bit meh but up till then..

grandfromagerie · 01/09/2021 18:39

Our Ladies - so funny laugh out loud, about schoolgirls set in mid 1990s who go to a choir competition in Edinburgh- and it's about what they get up to, coming of age relationships. Best British film I've seen for some time

@BluebelllsRosesDaffodills

Has anyone seen Candyman?
Watched it just yesterday on Netflix. Kept me on my toes throughout but didn't like the ending...I'd rate it a 6.5/10 just because of the story
Spidey66 · 04/09/2021 15:37

Just seen The Last Bus with Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan. Moved me to tears.

BluebelllsRosesDaffodills · 10/09/2021 00:36

Saw the Nighthouse. Not very good.

Has anyone seen People Just do Nothing? Or The Courier?

Rollergirl11 · 12/09/2021 00:19

I watched People just do nothing last week. Went with DD 15 as she discovered and watched all the series last year. Ordinarily I would have probs waited till it was streamed. I wasn’t expecting much but it was really funny with some proper laugh out loud moments!

PineappleCakes · 12/09/2021 00:22

Saw The Courier and it was really good. Watched Shang Chi (new Marvel) with the kids and that was surprisingly fun and enjoyable.
