'Santa Claus, The Movie', with Dudley Moore in it.

It's super.

Maidamess · 30/11/2007 15:01

When Harry met Sally. I know its not all set at Christmas, but the soundtrack, and the New Year bit make me feel Christmassy. Oh, and The Snowman. Makes me go goosey!

RobertSmithStoleMyLipstick · 30/11/2007 15:03

'it's a wonderful life' here too

kittylouise · 30/11/2007 15:04

Please, please don't laugh.

Muppet Christmas Carol

Bought it for dd years ago from bargain basement and loved it. It is very cheesy but heartwarming.

Michael Caine is Scrooge and Kermit is Bob Cratchit. What's not to love!

bossykate · 30/11/2007 15:05

"it's a wonderful life" - of course.

clumsymum · 30/11/2007 15:05

Dh proposed to me after we had watched When Harry Met Sally, because "When you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want the rest of your life to start right now".

Ahhhh.

Think I might dig it out this weekend, after 15 years we need a romance boost.

Sorry, off topic.

RobertSmithStoleMyLipstick · 30/11/2007 15:06

Muppet Christams Carol is good too

RubberDuck · 30/11/2007 15:09

Another vote for Muppet Christmas Carol - no need to blush, it's a FAB film!

LieselVentouse · 30/11/2007 15:29

pagwatch · 30/11/2007 15:30

wonderful life definatly!.and we watched ELF last night and that was really nice...shame i gave the video of it away last week to school jumble after never watching it..dd now wants me to buy her it!

Oenophile · 03/12/2007 08:28

I watched A Christmas Story the other night. It's about a boy growing up in America in the 40s, Christmas is coming and he has his heart set on one special toy... I found it hilarious, heartwarming, and very Christmassy indeed. A real quality film, less flippant and shallow than say The Santa Clause (which I also quite enjoyed). The child actors are wonderful and so are the parents.

The humour will perhaps appeal more to adults than to really little ones, but the upside is that it is genuinely funny.
