I just finished the book for our book group. Really liked it. Then downloaded the film. The film is fine - if you haven't read the book. If you have read the book the film is flimsy. @ElizaCBennett I don't think we watched the same film or read the same book!!!! It kept the kernel of it but that's about it.

Key storyline on the part of Ellie missed out. The parallel between her and Jennifer is totally obliterated which is a big point
Another massive story line about Anthony's job totally missing
Miscast actors - changing race, hair colour, names. Jennifer is nothing like she is in the book
Ending of the book totally changed
Character of Jennifer's husband not the same. Name spelled incorrectly.
Twist about Rory and his boss completely missing.
Relationship between Jennifer and her friends not explored properly

Can't believe that Jo Jo Moyes was the executive producer of this and allowed her book to be ripped apart.
