Blood Red Sky - that was NOT what I expected

Just watched this after half heartedly clicking on it during a Netflix browse. I have learnt my lesson - read the blurb carefully next time! The whole idea was a bit of a shock but overall, I enjoyed it although I found it just a bit too long. Anyone else seen it?

No, I didn't see, but now I wanted to see too

Yeah similarly had no idea what to expect, watched 1st half and then fast fwded to end, definitely too long but entertaining enough

AnyFucker · 27/07/2021 08:51

What’s it about ? (generally)

Pagwatch · 27/07/2021 08:52

watched it last night.
reminded me of when i sat down to watch From Dusk to Dawn without any clue of where that was going.

i thought the mum constantly trying to use her condition and then fioghting it to remain connected to her son was surprisingly moving. given that she has about three lines of dialogue she conveyed torment well.

@AnyFucker I thought it was a terrorist on a plane type of thing which it does actually start off as… with the addition of vampires! 🤣 @Pagwatch EXACTLY the same thing ran through my mind too!

Ooh. Sounds interesting.

Doesn't sound very bad. It is strange that I did not like it so much.

Aahh so glad you lot have watched it!

Agree, it was really sad in places especially towards the end when she was pushing Elias away and he just wanted to hug her. It was as if she knew the part of her which had been human was almost gone.

Probably one of the better horrors of recent years. At least since Last Train to Busan Grin
