Can anyone please remember this film and tell me the name of it? I watched it a few years ago. It was written by an Asian journalist about his own family life - I think he might have worked for the Independent or The Guardian - He splits up with his white girlfriend because he can't bring her home to meet his family because they won't accept him dating a white girl. It's also to do with his relationship with his father who suffers from mental health issues (I think depression). I've tried googling it but my searches aren't getting anything. It was a really good film. I would recommend it if I could find out the name of it!!!

Boy with a top knot?

That sounds like Sathnam who writes for The Times.

Yes - thank you so much everyone. It is the Boy with the Top Knot. Written by Sathnam Sanghera and based on his memoirs. I've now found various articles on it. www.imdb.com/title/tt5757738/ His dad had schizophrenia - not depression. I'm so happy to have found it again. :-)
