Agree it was very funny. BBC review was rather sniffy but it was really good.

Adelais · 28/06/2020 21:52

Me and dh enjoyed it. I thought the songs were good too!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 28/06/2020 21:54

I think it looks like a bit of fun, and lord knows that's what we need these days.

Barbthebuilder · 28/06/2020 21:56

Watched it last night with the kids, we all thought it was hilarious!

whoiscooking · 29/06/2020 21:48

So ridiculous and so funny

Testarossa44 · 30/06/2020 16:52

My dp and I watched it over the weekend, we thought it was so funny, we howled at some parts! Just the right side of cheesy Grin

Disfordarkchocolate · 30/06/2020 16:54

I need cheering up and I love Eurovision. My weekend is sorted.

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 30/06/2020 16:54

Funnily enough, we watched this as a family at the weekend, and everyone laughed. It got us talking about cheesy Eurovision pop too.

I read the review, and totally disagreed with it.

Sidge · 30/06/2020 17:58

I just watched it and thought it was hilarious.

Cheered me right up.

The Russian!

The elves!

The songs!

Brilliant.

BlackSwan · 30/06/2020 20:15

Please I just forgot about that ding-dong song, don't bring it back!

Will Ferrell is v funny.

Bluebell1995 · 30/06/2020 21:51

The ding dong song should be played at all celebrations from now on 😊

Doryhunky · 30/06/2020 21:53

Thank God! I need something that we can all enjoy!

Magissa · 30/06/2020 21:58

We all loved it too. The singing at the party was amazing. I also loved the bit with the "helpful" elf ( no spoilers!)

Testarossa44 · 30/06/2020 22:01

The sound track.is available on Amazon music or as a mp3, also available on iTunes. You can ja ja ding dong to your hearts content!! Grin

serenada · 30/06/2020 23:16

Ja ja ding dong, my love for you grows wide and long

I love it! Just a perfect amount of cheesiness. Very funny and corny and just what everyone needs. Rachel McAdams is fantastic

serenada · 30/06/2020 23:18

@Magissa that was well done, I thought - very funny.

Lots of good jokes about the bankers and Iceland, Wham (‘no one remembers the other ones name’) uk entrants - ‘quite good but no one like uk!’

Magissa · 30/06/2020 23:41

@Testarossa44 There is also a Spotify playlist!

Girlswithflowers · 30/06/2020 23:45

My family foind it unbearable and wandered off. It got better as it went along i thought - daft but entertaining. The songs were cheesy but good.

p2703b3 · 30/06/2020 23:46

Jaja ding dong is my 3 year olds new favourite song 🤦‍♀️

serenada · 30/06/2020 23:48

Mine too. I can't stop it inside my head.

But it does make want to stand at the top of a mountain and sing my heart out whilst doing some groovy dance moves so, maybe it's not such a bad thing.

Fairyliz · 01/07/2020 22:06

Watched it at the weekend and loved it. Such a change from all of the doom and gloom in the world at the moment, made me laugh out loud.

Did anyone think that the actors all looked like they were having a ball filming it? I wonder if its more fun filming something like this than a serial killer movie?

serenada · 02/07/2020 09:19

I think they must have had so much fun. And Ferrell and McAdams and Stevens got the characters spot on.

I am just surprised to find Iceland funded it when it could be seen as taking the p**s out of the country a bit. Whilst showing very nice scenery.

AgnesNaismith · 02/07/2020 09:20

Brilliant film, loved the bits with the Americans Grin

halcyondays · 02/07/2020 09:21

Oh I didn’t know it was on Netflix.

Inmyownlittlecorner · 02/07/2020 09:22

Watched it at the weekend & loved it, but I am a huge Eurovision fan too!
I’ve been playing the soundtrack all week, so now the DC want to watch it! Win win!
