I had no idea Ben Affleck was so tall

I was watching Justice League (take my advice, don't bother) where Ben Affleck plays Batman (badly, I mean really badly, worse than both Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton) and Jason Momoa is Aquaman. The two characters were having a face to face conversation and I joked to DH that they must have Affleck standing on a really big box. But I googled and it turns out that Affleck is only about an inch shorter than Jason Momoa.

No purpose to this post really, I was just surprised. Perhaps the purpose is to tell you not to watch Justice League. I kept thinking there would be some sort of plot starting soon, but it was just pointless noise and fighting. Don't bother unless you're a teenager, even then don't bother unless there is absolutely nothing better to do or watch.

Jason Momoa gets his shirt off a bit, swims around and emerges from the water dripping wet every now and then. That might make it worthwhile for you. I wasn't all that concerned about the lack of story line at those points.

I don’t suppose you took any notes of the times at which Mr Momoa wanders around in need of a towel did you OP? I guess I could fast forward.

I don't think Aquaman is on Netflix yet. I'm a bit uncertain now whether to watch it or not. More Momoa swimming good, crummy Marvel plot bad.

Yeah, DC. My DH and DS despair that I always get them confused. I just don't care enough to pay attention to which one is which.

Aquaman is fairly awful but imo topless Momoa does just about save it.
Plus it has my girl crush Amber Herd.
Some comedic moments in there too.

Has he ever done a film with Tom Cruise? He's supposed to be bothered by his height isnt he apparently using boxes etc. No idea if it's true or not!!

I could have told you he was tall, it's like a superpower I have where I can look at anyone on tv and guess their height even if leaning on a bar etc. Dh always try's to catch me out by googling the answer but I'm always right. It's not the most useful super power but you have to take what you're given 😁

The only decent DC movie is wonder woman. I don't know how they keep getting it so wrong. Aquaman was only bearable because, as mentioned above, Momoa. I've loved him since Stargate. And Ben affleck was miscast.

How the fu*k can they mess up Superman. Seriously. BTW Justice League is on Amazon, last time I checked.

Weird isn’t it? Marvel manage to make great film after great film and DC, who have some of THE iconic comic characters, just balls it up again and again.

That said I think Superman must be shit to write for - he’s too powerful so they have to come up with often implausible stuff to add any jeopardy. Makes him a bit dull really

And Mamoa only wearing a top for about 5% of Aquaman definitely saved it!

He is super tall. according to Wikipedia and buzzlearn, he is 1.92 meters (6 feet 2.9 inches) tall. I guess, he is one of the tallest actors in Hollywood.
