IT Chapter 2 - anyone seen it?

I've seen the mini series when I was a teen and have just finished reading the book thanks to my Kindle app.

I thought I would hate the 2017 version, but I enjoyed it and thought the modern makeover worked very well.

Planning to see it next week so I hope the wait is worth it!

It’s like both films distill all the horror that runs through the book into their opening scenes. I found the start of Part 1 absolutely harrowing and thought I might have to leave the cinema, but then it all turned cartoony.
Similar with this one, it was almost like a different film. So close to the book, where the police question the murderers of Adrian and because they’ve seen just about the worst humanity is capable of in their job they don’t believe in some supernatural clown (although there is a certain unease about it all).
The rest of the film was just a theme park ride. Apart from the murder in the Hall Of Mirrors which was just bloody grim.
