Anyone else hating Disney now? **Spoilers no doubt on any Disney film**

I'm beginning to hate Disney. They've ruined star wars, they are currently going through all old Disney films ruining them, going to ruin home alone and die hard and now because apparently they don't make enough money, they've split with sony and lost spiderman?!

What else are you going to ruin, Disney?! I'm not bothering watching the remakes anymore, definitely not watching home alone or die hard. And star wars, oh god where to start with the travesty. I'm dreading the final of the recent trilogy.

Yes. Perhaps it's just me getting old, but I used to get excited with anticipation at a new film coming out and they were usually years apart. Now, the churning out of new films within months of each other has caused them to lose their magic and cheapened their brand.
I also hate all these live remakes as well for the same reason. All seems cheap and tacky with money spinner written all over it.

Wouldn't mind so much if the remakes were good. But like with Mulan, removing all of the music and mushu?! What's the damn point?!

I'm betting home alone will be remade with a girl playing the lead role. Its going to be a crap movie regardless so hardly matters. Why bother when the original is brilliant and cannot be made better?

They are making another 3 star wars movies too! The guy making them went up to them, basically went 'I want to make 3 more films, but I dunno what about yet' and they went 'sure here's the money'. Going to be awful.

I'm with you on the live action remakes- not needed, most are shit (although my DD adores the recent Aladdin so we've watched it a lot... it's not terrible). Star Wars has had a lot of undeserved hate, I've really enjoyed the latest instalments! And I was gutted when the internet hate put a stop to anymore filler movies and a lot of the new stuff announced looks great!

Home alone does not need to be be remade, neither did the lion king, Mulan or lady and the tramp. The one that I would have been excited about was Pinocchio with Tom Hanks but it was canned 😡

It does feel very much like they are just churning out as much as they can though and it's cheapened the brand(s). The MCU movies have been generally great I hated black panther though and this new split with Sony is obviously a PR stunt or money making tactic which is annoying as they are taking it in with that franchise!

No star wars is awful! Nevermind what they did with Leia (having her in space and manage to get herself back to the shop wtf!), but the way they killed luke was terrible even Mark hamil hated the film. And now they are bringing back palatine somehow?! Ugh its so bad. They must have complete idiots writing the scripts.

I've just seen this thread blue - it makes me sad about Disney!!

I love Disney, basically, as in I love the original animations, Mary Poppins, Disneyland Anaheim is one of the best places I've ever been to etc etc.

But all these live action remakes look a bit cynical (I mean, The Jungle Book?! Why mess with a stone cold classic??) and now this rift with Sony over Spiderman seems totally unnecessary

I hope they can sort it out.

We took 3 DGC to see lion king , not a patch on original but they loved it !
