Curtis & Boyle collaboration, what a dilemma

Just seen an ad for Yesterday, looks like quite a fun film, will probably go and see it. But normally Richard Curtis being involved with a project has me running in the opposite direction, while Danny Boyle is reason enough for me to watch without knowing anything else. So it'll be interesting to see whether this film ends up being my worst nightmare misogynistic dross or really enjoyable!

Went last night - it was OK - no chemistry between the 2 leads. Lily James only every plays Lily James anyway, not sure why she is the actress of the moment.

There were some funny parts and the idea was good, but it dragged a bit. All in all I was a bit disappointed as the trailers made it look hilarious.

I saw it last night. Enjoyed it for the songs and the lead character (Himesh Patel). It was really quite touching in parts too.

I agree the couple didn’t really have any chemistry and Lily James was quite annoying. Richard Curtis definitely needs an editor too - far too long and some really saggy scenes.
